About

A small team that builds it itself

Bigrobot exists because on most projects the agency blamed the developer and the developer blamed the agency. We decided to do both jobs and run out of people to blame.

Where we came from

The company was registered in Kielce in March 2023, though the work started earlier — running campaigns for a handful of online stores that came to us after failed engagements with larger agencies. In each of them the problem was the same: the campaigns could not work because the site took four seconds to load, the product feed was out of date and conversions were being counted twice.

It quickly became clear we were spending more time fixing technology than optimising bids. Rather than keep asking clients to hire someone else for the fixes, we hired our first developer. Today the team splits roughly evenly between marketing and engineering.

We have no sales department and no plans for one. The person who turns up to the first call is the person who will run the project — if they promise something impossible, they are the one who has to deal with it later.

The rules we hold to

01

Numbers before opinions

Every recommendation comes with evidence or with the label 'this is a hypothesis'. Both are fine; confusing the two is not.

02

The client owns everything

Ad accounts, the repository, documentation and access belong to the client from day one. We do not build ourselves leverage in case you ever want to leave.

03

We say no more often than yes

We turn down projects where we cannot see a route to a result. Running campaigns for a product with no margin ends the same way for everyone involved.

04

No middlemen in communication

You write to the person doing the work, not to an account manager who relays the question. At this size that works, and we intend to keep it that way.
